Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hammerman House

On a corner lot near Beverly Hills, the Hammermans’ house has an irregular shape that resembles a dumbbell. Children’s rooms and the kitchen are located on the northern side of the house, the master bedroom is placed on the southern end, and at the center, a living room features glass walls. Richard Neutra’s design is characterized by strong horizontals which can be traced across the building’s exteriors along terraces so that, from the street, the façade seemingly floats against its sloping backdrop.
