Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Sinay House

In 1947, Home and Garden’sselection of Richard Neutra’s design for the Sinay family’s house for the first prize in its class marked a wide-spread embrace of the architect’s style and approach. The redwood and stucco structure housed three bedrooms, one bathroom, a living area, and a kitchen beneath its shed roof. Below the living areas, Neutra placed the garage and laundry room. A deep terrace connecting the living area with the kitchen was outfitted with radiant heating.
