Gemological Institute of America

Richard Neutra designed the Gemological Institute of America as a school for training jewelers. For this project, the lighting was particularly important as it had to allow for close and detailed and work. The working drawings for this project are extensive and emblematic of Neutra’s idea that comprehensive drawings would either reduce or remove the need for job supervision.
