Eugene Loring House

This two-bedroom house features a well-designed master bathroom, with black slate floor and large mirrors. The bathroom space opens up to the pool area with floor-to-ceiling windows. Richard Neutra frequently used thin Roman brick to develop a contrast between the emptiness of a fireplace and the presence of the wall above it. For Eugene Loring’s house, he diminished the impact of this contrast by using common brick with white mortar.
